62nd TSFSRD Festival
The 62nd TSFSRD Festival will be held June 13-16, 2024 in Bryan, Texas at the Brazos County Expo Center. Texas State Callers’ Association is sponsoring the Trail End Dance on Thursday evening.
The Pre-Festival Dance, sponsored by the HSRDC and ETASRD, will host dancers on Friday June 14, 2024. Both square and round dance workshops will be available. Nelda Eaton and Tim Tyl will call that evening with rounds by Tricia Morley and Dennis Artz.
Saturday will include even more dancing. Advanced registration deadline is May 15, 2024. Weekend: $50 pp/ $25 pp for teens. Flyer

ASRDA Installation Dinner & Dance

Salute to America
The “Southern Knights” return for their 2nd “Salute to America” dance. John Carlton, Dale Smith, Wayne Weston, and John Kephart are the Southern Knights. They put on their first “Salute to America” dance last year and it was fantastic. There will be an afternoon Plus dance from 3 - 5 pm with a few challenging Plus tips in it. The evening dance starts with a half hour of pre-rounds from 7:30 - 8:00 pm and then a Mainstream dance with 1 round between tips from 8 - 10:00 pm. There will be a special Plus tip at the end of the dance at 10 pm for interested dancers. You can really save money if your pre-register. Pre-registration for both the afternoon and evening sessions is $15/person. If you pre-register for only 1 session it is $10.00. Paying at the door will cost $15 for the Plus session alone and $15 for the evening dance. There is no discount for both dances when paying at the door. Square dance or patriotic attire is encouraged for the evening dance.

Accent on Rounds - Fall Session
The Fall Session of Accent on Rounds will be held at Fontana Village Resort, Fontana Dam, NC. Bob & Kay Kurczewski, Liberty Hill, Tx and Curt & Tammy Worlock, Plant City, FL will be teaching Phases 3, 4, 5, &6 during this session. Dancers are responsible for their housing arrangements. 54th Annual Fun-Sti-Toot
The 54th Annual Fun-Sti-Toot Weekend will be held Friday, Sept. 13 and Saturday, Sept. 14 in La Grange, Texas at the Randolph Recreation Center. Join Wayne Weston, Fred Goynes (only Sat.), Gary Sanders, Chet Miles and Tammy Lee for a FUN-filled weekend.
Both nights early rounds are scheduled from 7:00-7:30pm. Square dancing and rounds continue from 7:30-10:00pm. A Round Dance Fun Shop is scheduled for Saturday from 10a-12p with a Square Dance Fun Shop from 2p-4p. Donations on Friday are $10 pp and Saturday $10 pp in advance or $15 pp at the door. Dance Attire is preferred for the evening dances. Let’s celebrate a great time in La Grange!
TSFSRD Presidents' Weekend
Come meet all the new Association and Council presidents during this TSFSRD sponsored Presidents’ Dance weekend! The event is co-hosted by Austin Square and Round Dance Association and the Texas State Callers’ Association on October 4th & 5th, 2024.
Hospitality will be offered at the Best Western Inn & Suites in La Grange from 3:00- 5:00 PM on Friday, October 4th. The Friday evening dance will start with an hour of pre-rounds at 6:30 with the regular dance from 7:45 -9:45 PM and will feature full member TSCA callers and cuers. Announcements and Introductions will be from 7:30 - 7:45 both nights.
Saturday morning there will be a TSFSRD Delegate meeting in the gym from 9:00 am - 12:00 noon with coffee and sweet rolls at 8:30 AM. The callers and cuers will be attending the TSCA Seminar/Caller Clinic and Fall Meeting in Building D, Game Room #1 from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Darryl Lipscomb will be the weekend clinician.
Saturday evening, round dancing will be from 6:30 - 7:30 PM with volunteer TSCA cuers. Dancing from 7:45 - 9:45 PM. Darryl Lipscomb will be calling all evening. Flyer

Waco 75th NSDC Pre-Convention Dance
The 75th National Square Dance Convention Pre-Convention dance will be the evening of March 22nd, 2025. Pre-Convention is sort of like a dress rehearsal for the actual National Square Dance Convention that will be in Waco June 24 - 27th, 2026. The 75th NSDC Committee is asking that all clubs and associations not schedule any dances or meetings that weekend so as many dancers as possible can attend this dance. More information will be posted here in the future.

35th Annual Wildflower Dance
Country Cuzzins will host its 35th annual Wildflower dance in Marble Falls on April 20th, 2024 at the Boys & Girls Club of Marble Falls. Tim Tyl will be calling and Ron Plouch will be cueing. The afternoon includes a Mainstream workshop/dance from 1:30 - 3:00 pm and Rounds workshop from 3:30 - 5:00 pm. The dance begins at 6:30 with Pre-Rounds until 7:00 pm. From 7:00 - 9:00 PM the dance be Mainstream and announced Plus with 2 + 2 Rounds. 9:00 - 9:30 PM will be all Plus.
This year a “Pre-Purchase Bonus” is being offered. Those dancers buying their tickets for the evening dance before April 19th, 2024 will automatically be entered into a drawing for $25. The tickets for the evening dance are only $15/ticket so, unless you are buying two tickets, you can actually make money! The afternoon workshops are extra - Mainstream is $8/person and Rounds is $5/person. Pre-Purchase tickets can be obtained from any member of Country Cuzzins.
There will be appetizers & beverages along with a Silent Auction and Split-the-Pot.

Waterloo Squares 41st Anniversary Dance
Come join Waterloo Squares in celebrating their 41st Anniversary on Saturday, March 16th at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church (in the gym) at 3525 Bee Caves Road, Austin, TX. There will be Split-the-Pot, a Silent Auction, and a meal of pulled pork sliders with sides, snacks, and desserts. The Silent Auction will be for homemade baked goods so Sue Gillar’s famous coffee cake ring will surely be there among the tasty items to bid on.
Scott Bennett will be calling with Jerry and Lucy Pate are our cuers. Pre-rounds will start at 7:00 pm with the regular dance from 7:30 - 9:30 pm with 2 rounds between tips.

TSFSRD Conclave Meeting and Dance Weekend
TSFSRD will hold its’ Conclave Meeting in Lubbock, Texas March 1-2, 2024. Hospitality will be from 3:00 - 5:00 pm at Fairfield Inn & Suites, 4007 S. Loop 289, Lubbock, TX. The Friday evening dance will be at the Lubbock Dance Center, 2305 - 120th Street, Lubbock. The dance will start with early rounds at 7:00 PM. Opening Ceremonies & Grand March will be at 7:30 PM. From 8:00 - 10:00 PM there will be Squares & Rounds 2 + 2. Dancing will include SSD and Announced Plus. There will be an afterparty at 10:00 pm. K.O. Jeans will be the caller for the weekend. Jamie Sader will be the cuer.
Saturday morning meeting will be at the same location as the dance, the Lubbock Dance Center. At 8:30 AM, coffee and muffins will be served. The Business Meeting starts at 9:00 AM and goes until Noon. Delegates will elect the 2024-2025 Board members.
The Saturday evening dance starts at 7:00 pm with Early Rounds. There will again be Opening Ceremonies and a Grand March. Dancing will be from 8:00 - 10:00 PM with Squares & Rounds 2 + 2 including SSD and Announced Plus. There is an after party scheduled.
There is a requested donation of $10.00/pp/each evening.
Chet Miles at Waterloo Squares
Chet Miles is the only local caller calling this month driving in from Driftwood, Texas. He is caller for Cen-Tex Plus Club (a caller run club) in San Marcos and is one of two club callers at Wheel-N-Deals Square Dance Club in San Marcos. For those of you who don’t know, he is also a FANTASTIC Barbecue Chef! No BBQ at this dance though. Just some fast moving and upbeat square dancing!

14th Annual TRDTA - La Grange Round Dance Festival
This Round Dance Festival features cuers from all over Texas. Participants will be dancing Phase II, III, and IV. This is a fantastic weekend for those fairly new to round dancing.
