Austin Square and Round Dance Association

Merry Mixers are proud to graduate 10 new students on Thursday, February 21, 2008 from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. at South Austin Senior Activity Center, 3911 Manchacha. All are invited to come and welcome our new dancers to our great activity.

The Swinging Lakers continue to meet every Wednesday at 7:30 pm at the Lago Vista POA facility with our regular caller Gary Bible. We usually do not dance on the 5th Wed. of the month, but an exception this year will be April 30, since we'll be dark on April 9th.

Our Head Square recently met and adopted our 2008 schedule. We have an active schedule including several special dances scheduled:

• May 7 We will have our Anniversary Dance with Gary Bible AND Tommy Larsen from Denmark scheduled to call. There will be lots of fun, food, a country store and share the pot.
• September 24 Nasser Shukayr will join Gary Bible to call a special dance.
• October 25 We will have our annual boat dance with food and fun on the water. Ticket information will be provided in the future.
• November 19 Gary Sanders and Gary Bible will join together to call our dance.

The Lone Star Lambdas will not be dancing on February 18.

Please be sure to join us for the special Tony Oxendine dance on Wednesday, Feb 20th, from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. at the Allen R. Baca Recreation Center in Round Rock. Directions are in the flyer which you can reach on the menu to the left.

We hope to see everyone there. It will be a fun dance and an opportunity to dance to a fantastic caller.

There will be an ASRDA meeting on Saturday, February 16, 1008, at 4Pm at Hyde Park Christian Church.

Items on the agenda include voting on bylaw amendments presented at the November meeting.

All attendees are asked to bring suggested nioominations for 2008-9 officers to the meeting. Please place the suggestions in a sealed envelope to be turned over to the nominating committee.
