Cal and I are in charge of compiling the 2016 National Square Dance Convention® Cookbook, "Step into a real Texas Kitchen." We are interested in recipes that have been in the family for years, recipes that are associated to Texas, Tex/Mex and just any that are just plain good. It is our desire to have as many people as possible add to this cookbook. Feel free to send more than one.

This will be a shortened update as I just arrived home and the relief of still having David with us has hit me.
David had open-heart, 6 way bypass surgery with veins coming from four different parts of his body Tuesday morning. He was placed on "watch care" and one assessment afterward was that it was a "nip and tuck" situation.
He was about have his breathing tube removed (extubated) Tuesday evening and Teri indicated he would be in the ICU for a couple of days.
"He still needs our prayers."!
David Meyer is a round dance cuer in the San Antonio area. We received the following about him on Thu, 07-28.
"David had an angioplasty today and will have bypass surgery on Tuesday, August 2 at Methodist Main Hospital on Floyd Curl Drive. The doctors are keeping him in the hospital until his surgery then he will be there several days. Keep David and Teri in your prayers."
"...Keep David and Teri in your prayers."... Please do!
The Killeen Kickers wish to express sincere appreciation to those who so generously supported our Japan Relief Square Dance. Fifty five dancers (26 were guests) opened thier hearts and wallets to the delightful total of $1,750.25. Participants were afforded a special dangle and best wishes from all the Killeen Kickers. Thanks so much and happy dancing!
