Austin Square and Round Dance Association

In addition to the amendments presented by President James Penders, three other amendments will be voted on at the August 23, 2008, meeting.  Items in red and struck through are language to be removed.  Items in blue are suggested new or replacement language.

ARTICLE IV

MEMBERSHIP

Section 3.    Termination of Membership

Conditions - Membership in the Association may be terminated under any or all of the following conditions:

2. Non-representation - Failure of a member club to provide representation as specified in this Constitution and Bylaws, such as failure to provide for ASRDA delegate representation and attendance at Association delegate meetings. Clubs not represented at two consecutive meetings shall may be automatically dropped as a member of ASRDA. Such club may make application for reappointment.

ARTICLE VI

OFFICERS

Section 6.    Duties of the President

g.  Serve as a member of the Texas State Federation of Square and Round Dancers District Presidents Committee and State Nominating Committee and make every effort to attend all meetings of these committees or appoint a representative from ASRDA to attend these meetings whenever the President or Vice-president cannot attend.

ARTICLE VI

OFFICERS

Section 7.    Duties of the Vice President

g. Attend meetings of the TSFSRD, at the request of the Presidents, if the President is unable to attend the District’s President’s Committee or State Nominating Committee meetings
