Leave your fancy duds at home! Come and join us for a day of dancing as the Lone Star Lambdas host a joint dance with our sister club, the Alamo City Wranglers. We will dance from 10 Am to noon, take an hour for lunch, and dance from 1 to 3 PM.
The dance and lunch will be in the gymnasium of Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 200 West Anderson Lane. The gymnasium is on the north side of the church. Please contact Terry Neal at bearterry@aol.com if you are interested, so that we get an approximate head count for our food.
Cost is 10.00 per person which includes lunch.

Blue Santa Benefit Toy Dance -- Please join us at Hyde Park Christian Church (610 E 45th Street, Austin, Tx) for a benefit dance to donate toys and money to the Austin Blue Santa Christmas Toy Drive. Admission to the dance is one UNWRAPPED new toy per person. We will have a donation jar if you prefer to donate money for the cause. Toys for older teenagers and young infants are especially in need. DANCE LOCATION CHANGE THIS NIGHT ONLY: Swinger Lakers will be dancing at Lago Vista Elementary School gymnasium located at 20311 Dawn Drive, Lago Vista. From 1431 take a left on Lohmans Ford Road and go 1.5 mi to Dawn Drive. Turn right on Dawn Drive and go 0.3 mile. Make a U-turn at Travis Drive and destination will be on the right. Heart of Texas Square and Round Dance Association anf the Heart of Texas Callers & Cuers invites you to the Cornhuskers 2009 Teen Scholarship Dance & Fundraiser. This will take place on Saturday, April the 25th, 2009. Pre-rounds are at 7:30pm then the dance is from 8:00pm to 10pm. The dance is at Allemande Hall, 106 Westlake; Speegleville, Texas (West of Interstate 35 on Highway 6; South of Waco city limits). Free will donation, split the pot, and a silent auction. All proceeds go to the TSFSRD Teen Scholarship Fund.
Shirts 'N' Skirts hosts another All-Plus evening. We have to announce that Gary Bible will be filling in for our regular caller - Jim Hayes - at this dance. We also promise a heap of fun! Martha Burghart leads line dancing between tips.

The 47th Annual Texas State Federation of Square and Round Dancers Festival will be June 11, 12, 13, and 14 at the Waco Convention Center in Waco. Activities begin Thursday evening with the Trail End Dance and after-party hosted by the Texas Callers Association. The callers will have us all "Floating Down the Brazos" and enjoying the "River Race".

Join us for the ASRDA 2009-2010 Installation, Bar-B-Que & Dance. The 5:30-6:30pm Bar-B-Que dinner (brisket, pork loin, & sausage from Smokey Mo's) is $7.50 per person. Seventy-two people made reservations for dinner and this number was turned in to Smotokey Mo's on Tuesday, July 7th, 2009. The requested donation for the dance is $5 per person. After dinner, installation of the officers will be from 6:30 to 7pm. Then there is Pre-rounds from 7 to 7:30pm followed by the 7:30-9pm dance.
Waterloos graduate the 16th class taught by Gary Bible, who is "retiring" from the "two-classes-a-year" schedule - but not retiring from calling! Thank you, Gary - we'll miss you at lessons!
